Love at First Sight.

Akutagawa was a pessimistic person, he didn’t believe in love, he didn’t care for silly things like that. He was focused on up-keeping his reputation as the port mafia’s guard dog. He had one job and it wasn’t to send flowers to someone, or to shower them in affection.

He wasn’t repulsed by the idea of love, he simply didn’t care for it. He had no opinions on the matter besides the fact that it wasn’t for a man like himself. He was too busy to spend time with someone anyways, and he couldn’t imagine himself taking anyone on a date.

He was cruel and feared, as someone like him should be. He’d scare off anyone trying to court him and he liked it that way. He always forgot Valentine’s Day when it came around unless reminded, he didn’t like physical touch, he would be horrible in a relationship. And the idea of being so head over heels for someone that he doesn’t know how to think or act around them sounded more like torture than anything good.

His feet created ripples in the crimson pool of blood beneath him, his expression was as blank as ever even while gazing upon someone filled with fear and terror. In a split second his rashoumon lunged forwards, devouring the victims head. Their corpse dropped to the concrete with a thud. Akutagawa reached into his pocket, taking out a small white handkerchief to cough up some blood into before quickly folding it back up and shoving it into his pocket once more.

Soon after he heard faint footsteps behind him, turning around immediately and preparing to attack before he paused.

Maybe it was his lung disease acting up, but he was pretty sure you had taken his breath. His body freezing, his eyes wide in shock as he stared at you. Gorgeous, magnificent, graceful and fluid… he couldn’t just kill you, that’d be worse than any crime he’s ever committed. That’d be a crime against humanity to destroy something so very… precious.
