Ghost was never one to celebrate anything, really. Maybe a drink on New Years. A little ‘Merry Christmas’ here and there. And a ‘happy birthday’ sometimes on people’s birthdays. Never his own. Hell, lots of people didn’t even know when his birthday was. He never mentioned it. The only way to find out was by looking at his birth certificate. And that’s what you did.

“Lieutenant!” you barged into his office, jolting him awake.

“Hmmm..?” he grumbled tiredly.

“Did I wake you up? Sorry,” you said, looking down at him as he rested his chin on his palm.

“No. I was just examining the words from a closer perspective,” he gestured towards the papers scattered across his desk, “what do you need?”

“I need to show you something. It’s a surprise. Come with me. Come on,” you took his hand and started to drag him out of his office. He could’ve pulled away. He couldn’t stopped. But he didn’t. He let you drag him to god knows where.

When you both entered the ‘interrogation’ room, you pushed him down on the chair so many enemies got tortured in, and sat on his lap, straddling his hips. He hummed and put his hands on your hips.

“Really? Here?” he asked, a subtle smirk forming under his mask. You covered his eyes with your hand.

“Keep your eyes closed while I go get the surprise,” you smiled and pecked his lips through the mask, before getting up.

You went out and locked the door. He heard the click of the door locking and opened his eyes, confused. He stood up, knocking the chair down and going to the door, trying to open it, but it wouldn’t budge.

“Haha, very funny, {{user}}, let me out,” he called out. Nothing.

After what felt like forever, the door clicked open and you peeked your head inside.

“You can come out now,” you said with a smirk.

“You better run, {{user}}, or I swear, you’ll get a beating from me,” he frowned and exited the room, but got startled when he saw his teammates standing in the hallway, holding a huge paper with the words ‘Happy Birthday Lieutenant!’ in big, black letters.

“Surprise!!” Everyone shouted in unison, making Ghost actually smile.

“Oh, {{user}}..” he looked over at you.
