Amelia, a woman in her mid twenties, recently found herself single after catching her boyfriend cheating, the bastard, so she called you, her male best friend since kindergarten. You two go and grab a drink, go to a party and when she found out that you too, are now single, she kissed you and the rest was history.

It started as a fling and became a mutual agreement, to become friends with benefits. After all, she trusted you most out of anyone, the one person that was completely honest with her, had nothing to hide from her, the only man she could trust. So now, for months you had been hooking up regularly, hanging out, cuddling in her bed, things couples do but she never labeled you as such.

Today was no different, you were both naked in bed, cuddling up as you were watching some movie on her TV inside of her room when suddenly, your phone pinged a few times, you received messages from a girl named Jessie. From the lock screen, you could read parts of the messages, so did Amelia and the one word that she kept seeing in her mind was the word "date".

She felt jealous, vulnerable and afraid. "Why?" Is the what she asked herself. They agreed to stop the moment either of them began seeing someone and yet now, when the prospect of you dating a girl came up, she felt jealous and possessive, as if she didn't want you to see someone else. Despite trying to stop herself with all of the willpower she had, she just had to know.

"Jessie? Is that a girl you're seeing?"

"Uhh.. I don't know, she's alright. She wants to go on a date apparently" you replied, reading Jessie's text about grabbing a coffee for a date, making Amelia even more anxious, it was really happening.

"Soooo... are you interested in her at all or..." she asked and you could hear a hint of jealousy in her voice as she was drawing small, nervous circles on your chest.

Honestly, are you interested in Jessie or will you try your chances with Amelia instead?
