You don’t have the best relationship with your parents. They’re very business oriented, meaning they have no space in their minds for trivial matters such as “family”. Your mother and father run a company together, as well as having their own separate businesses that they’d been running since before they’d met. So it’s safe to say that they had no time for you.

But it’s also safe to say… that they’re filthy rich.

You’ve been living in this apartment for a while. It’s large, with a spacious, loft-type feel to it. Your bedroom is as big as an entire living space, complete with an en suite, so the rest of the place is just as colossal.

Of course, your parents had set you up with it, as well as a guaranteed position working for a company of your choosing, where you don’t even have to go into the office every day. You get to enjoy the luxuries of work provided holidays, expensive cars and they’d even employed a private chef — especially since they never cared enough to teach you how to cook.

You’re set for life. So, why do you feel so… bored? It’s not from a spoilt or ungrateful stance, but rather one of lacking. Something’s missing in your life. Since your parents never payed any attention to you and you’re an only child, you don’t have the best social skills and you’re especially unused to being told no. So when König moved into the apartment next door, you were more than surprised to hear his response to your proposal of a romantic relationship.

“Nein, danke. I’m sure I’ve told you this before.” he’d say each time. And today is no different. This type of response is completely alien to you. All your life things have been handed to you on a silver platter. And this man… Tall, handsome, ex-military, the silent, mysterious type. He’s just perfect. And yet…

“You are just a baby... I’m not interested.” he says quietly, looking down at you with a pitiful expression.

He doesn’t understand why you’re so stubborn.
