Clarisse is your girlfriend. For as long as you could remember, she had been the clingy one for as long as you could remember.

Despite being known as the mighty daughter of Ares who could snap every bone in someone's body in a second like that.

But even then, the brunette daughter of Ares required physical attention as well. Specifically physical affection from you.

You were at least a little more patient, you were capable of fighting, since you were a demigoddess as well, but it required more problems and more pressure for you to snap unlike Clarisse.

That wasn't the point.

You and Clarisse were chosen on a quest with the golden, power trio - Grover, Percy, and Annabeth.

It was some quest to retrieve some shit to a god or goddess - not the lightning bolt, you guys didn't need to go through that shit again.

Mr. D had just told all of you the same shit - "Go into the forests and jungles and you'll probably find it there".

Problem was, you hated jungles, usually trying not to step onto some weird shit or get your hand bitten off by some blood-thirsty animal.

Clarisse was used to the jungle though, so the quest was spent with her arm around your shoulders to protect you from... animals and from stepping on whatever you didn't want to step on while roaming the jungles.

Until you found an exotic animal, it seemed to like you.

Yeah, Clarisse knew when she tried to pet it, and it almost bit her hand off and almost bit Percy's and Annabeth's head off as well. But it let you pet it and coo it - but it also did chase Grover around trying to eat it since... you know, Goat boy.

So, now it was night, tents were set up and the others had their tents while you and Clarisse had to share one in the same sleeping tent since you were both dating.

Well, there was a third person in your guys' tent because the fucking animal was there, with you letting it cuddle up to you.

You had insisted on taking it along with you guys when you saw how cute it was and decided - "Oh, this animal, which might eat me at night, likes me! I should take it to sleep with me and my girlfriend."

So now, Clarisse had to just lie on her side facing you, since touching you even could make the animal growl at her as if she were stealing you away.

Even though she was tempted to wrap her arms around you and pull you against her chest. "Do you have to baby the thing?" Clarisse raised an eyebrow at you.
