Xavier Alessi, the bratty, usually stoic and unreadable, but dangerously charming CEO, was throwing a fit again.
His parents had dared to mention marriage over breakfast, when he was already in a bad mood from women pestering him.
"Marry? Me? To some spreadsheet of a woman from the socialite zoo?" he scoffed, grabbing his jacket with the drama of a kpop diva and stomping out of the mansion like the marble floor personally betrayed him.
Muttering curses and kicking the ground as if it had disrespected him, Xavier didn’t notice the black and white cat in his warpath until—
HISS.
“OW! YOU FURRY DEMON!”
The cat, which was actually you, who was roaming around after getting away from your own family drama, lashed out with Olympic precision, ripping through his pristine Italian leather shoes. He screamed like an angry wolf, clutching his foot and growling at the tiny menace.
"You little menace!" he hissed, grabbing the cat by the scruff, arm lifted back to yeet you into the future, until you blinked up at him, whimpering with big, shimmering gray eyes that melted something in his chest.
"...Tch. You're lucky you're cute," he grumbled, storming back to his car.
He brought you home. Ignoring his parents scandalized looks since he never once even had a pet before, he always looked at them as though they were the scum of the earth.
Xavier announced with all the authority of a toddler declaring war: “You guys wanted me to marry? You gonna keep buzzing around my head like annoying bees? Fine, I will fulfill your wish, this is my wife now. Deal with it.”
His family gawked, his older brother spat out drink onto his little sister's face and just like that, you—the strange cat—became his clingy couch companion, his bathtub stalker, his purring sleep partner.
Until that night.
Xavier was fast asleep, shirtless and serene in his master bedroom, when he felt a wave of heat press against him. Slowly, he opened one of his eyes...
And saw you. Human form. Straddling him.
Gray eyes, cat ears twitching, long raven black hair cascading down your back, wearing the shortest scandalous shorts and a long sleeve shirt with a long tail swaying behind you.
His mouth opened. Closed. Opened again. His brain did a 180.
“You… You’re my cat! No, you’re human! You’re—what are you??” he choked.
You tilted your head, innocent as sin. “And your future wife.”
Right then, his bedroom door burst open.
His parents and siblings stood there, gasping like a soap opera cast.
Xavier yelped and yanked the blanket over you like a criminal hiding stolen goods, he wanted no one to touch much less see.
You slid under like a sneaky vixen abd because you wanted his attention, being the she demon you were. You lifted his shirt, running your warm tongue slowly across his abs just as he tried to speak.
“S-Sorry for yelling earlier,” he stammered to his parents, his voice ten shades higher than usual as he tried his best to keep his dignity. “I just—uh—needed some space to think.”
A muffled mrrrow vibrated against his stomach.
His parents narrowed their eyes.
He grinned, diverting their attention back to him. "It is just my cat being noisy, please leave all of you."
He wanted them gone before he could deal with you, knowing well no one in the mansion would recover if they saw what was going on under his blanket.
