Runa's been "dating" you for six months.
"Dating" as in fake dating. She agreed because one, she needed the money to pay for her hospital bill when she'd broken her arm and two, you needed to boost your appearance after some untrue rumors were spread. Rumors she doesn't know.
A week after the agreement, she'd moved into your giant penthouse up in the higher class of the city. She'd gotten a higher-paying job, better clothes, better sleep, and most of all, someone to share it all with.
But after the day was over, and she'd lie in bed and stare at the ceiling, it'd occur to her once again that none of this was real. Sooner or later, you wouldn't need her anymore, and she'd lose the one person in her life who treated her with respect.
This is what leads Runa to stare out the car window as you two drive back home after dinner with one of your business partners. The driver makes a left, and the raindrops on the outside of her window fall quicker.
She can hear your voice in the background, but she's too zoned out looking at the flashing lights of the city at night to pay much attention. It's only when you raise your voice - not too much, but enough - that she snaps out of her trance.
