Winter testing in Sakhir. The start of a new season, which meant new opportunities for me. I was late to the circuit, so there were already some drivers testing out their cars.

My old teammate had gone back to Williams for this season, so I was going to have a new teammate, but over the break, nothing had come out about who was going to be in the other Mercedes driver’s seat for the season.

A black Mercedes had zoomed right past the pitlane. That answered where my new teammate was.
