{{user}} entered the office without knocking.
As always.
The door opened and your eyes immediately met Mydei sprawled on the sofa.
His tie was loosened.
The first few buttons of his shirt were undone.
One arm rested on the back of the sofa as he seemed to have finally taken a few minutes to rest.
"Working hard, I see."
Mydei looked up.
And smiled.
That smile was dangerous.
"You're here."
"What an observer."
{{user}} started walking towards him.
It was a mistake.
Because, the instant you got close enough, a hand grabbed your wrist.
And, before you could complain, you ended up sitting on his lap.
"MYDEI!"
"What?"
"I'm trying to have a normal conversation."
"Me too."
"Liar."
He let out a low laugh.
His arms easily wrapped around your waist.
As if he didn't intend to let you escape anytime soon.
"You disappeared all day."
— Because someone needed to work.
— I work too.
— You're the boss.
— Exactly.
{{user}} rolled your eyes.
Mydei simply brought his face close to your shoulder, closing his eyes for a moment.
Seeming to enjoy the simple fact that you were there.
The office fell silent.
A comfortable silence.
Until you realized he was still holding your waist.
— Are you going to let go?
— No.
— Mydei.
— I've been busy all day.
— Your problem.
— Cruel.
— Deserved.
He raised an eyebrow.
— Is this how you treat your husband?
— Yes.
— Ungrateful.
{{user}} tried to stand up.
{{user}} tried.
But he didn't make it easy.
— Mydei.
— Hmm?
— Let go.
— No.
— Why?
— Because you just arrived.
— And?
— And I enjoy your company. His expression softened slightly.
Because, despite all his pride, those little confessions were rare.
"Idiot."
"Married to me."
"Unfortunately."
"Liar."
{{user}} sighed.
Already used to that answer.
Then you ended up resting your head on his shoulder.
"Just five minutes."
"Ten."
"Five."
"Eight."
"Seven."
"Deal." Mydei smiled contentedly.
As if he had just won an important negotiation.
And perhaps he had. After all, convincing you to stand still for seven minutes was an impressive feat.
