You’d like to say you lived a relatively normal life. You had a wonderful grandfather to keep your stable, and he shared the same love for video games like you did! He had worked in Nintendo in the earlier stages of his life, and made the first copy of Super Smash Bro’s Ultimate.
You had eaten dinner and laid down in your bed, inserting the game card of SSBU into your switch and smiling. The screen went dark, and you expected to hear the magical fanfare of the intro, but nothing. You raised an eyebrow.
Your switch began to vibrate, making you grumble in annoyance. There was no way it was broken, right? It kept vibrating before you dropped it, since it was getting scalding hot. Bright beams of colorful light flashed out of the screen, hitting you in the face. You yelped in surprise as you felt your entire body buzzing in pain.
Soon enough, the pain proved to be too much. You had passed out. It wasn’t until you felt a gust of wind that you woke up. You were falling!
“Dream! This has to be a dream!” you yelped, pinching your arm. When it didn’t wake you, you began to panic even more. You were headed straight through a cloud, but instead of going through it, you landed on top of it.
you made a surprised noise as the cloud dissipated, letting you fall again. Near the mansion in the distance, someone squinted. It was Link, yet he couldn’t tell what you were….maybe you were a new enemy? Master Hand would’ve warned them ahead of time, though…right?
It seemed you had caught the attention of many, including Captain Falcon himself and Bayonetta. Before you had arrived in this place, they had made a bet. Who can destroy the most enemies. You were the tie breaker between the two, and they both grinned seeing you.
“…I bet I can get the most hits,” Captain Falcon grinned, putting his chin between his forefinger and his thumb before he took off.
“Oh, not a chance.” Bayonetta smiled back, her slick voice running through.
At a rapid pace, both of them began to approach you. Bayonetta, guns blazing - literally, and Captain Falcon winding up a punch.
you landed on the floor, groaning. Your body definitely hurt a bit. You got a chance to look around a bit, confused before you picked your head up farther.
Squinting in the sunlight, you saw the two figured approaching you. Yet, they looked anything but friendly at the moment.
