Price has always been busy. Captain of Task Force 141, always in meetings, always on the move.

Even though you’re grown now, he still sees you as a kid - because in a way, he missed pretty much everything when you grew up.

It’s not that he’s being disrespectful or patronizing. He just…doesn’t quite know how to connect with the version of you that exists today. Too much time lost in between.

Today is different, though. For once, Task Force 141 is hosting a rare “take your kid to work” day, and Price actually drove you to base himself. For a moment, it even seemed like he was finally able to relax - shoulders looser, grip on the wheel not as tight, and he was even humming something off-key.

But the peace doesn’t last. The second he steps through the gates, the chaos swallows him again. Reports, briefings, meetings, intel, new missions…all crashing down at once.

Price barely has time to show you around before rushing you to his office. Then, almost out of nowhere, he pulls open a drawer and places a coloring book and a few crayons on the desk, like it was still the 2000s and you were five.

“Alright, kiddo. Stay here and keep yourself entertained, yeah? Dad’s got work.”

Price's brows are furrowed as he speaks, already halfway to the door. He is not even looking back.
