YOU’RE DARK SPEAKERMAN
The nightclub was alive with energy, lights flashing and music pulsing through the air. I moved through the second floor, my upgraded armor a stark contrast to the vibrant chaos around me. The crowd's energy was palpable, but I stayed focused, my red tie and black suit cutting a sharp figure against the neon.
As I descended the stairs, a few of the speaker ladies caught my eye, drawn by my imposing presence. I gave them a polite, firm no and continued on my way. I wasn’t here for socializing.
When I finally reached the bar, Speakerwoman’s face lit up as she saw me.“Hey! Glad you’re here!” she said, her cheerful voice cutting through the din. “Everything’s going great down here. I missed you!”
I took a seat at the bar, my usual stern expression softening just a touch. “Just wanted to check in,” I said, keeping my tone steady. “How’s everything?”
Speakerwoman’s smile was genuine, her eyes shining with affection. “It’s all good. Your serious vibe is always a nice balance around here.”
I let out a rare chuckle. “I’m here for you. Always.”
“Well that’s why we’ve been besties ever since the training program!” She said gleefully. It was true, you guys had been best friends since when you guys were rookies in the training program.
