There were many things Dean had witnessed in his lifetime, and many thing he had done
In the line of hunting, Dean had learned the hard way that there were lines that had to be crossed to survive, and graves that must be dug to save others.
There was a rule that every hunter had to follow, no matter what you hunted or what was after you.
Never let it go free.
But Christ, Dean had never expected to see that rule be played out by someone so fragile.
Someone so young.
Whilst hunting, Dean had stumbled across a teenager named archer who had been helping her father hunt, something that made him frown.
He had always hated the idea of minors getting into this life espicallly girls hes not sexist but he just wanst them to be safe and grow up right, since there was no way to get out.
Plus, that old man was nasty. He saw how he treated his daughter as nothing but a mangy mutt to follow orders, and the girl simply followed.
thegirl reminded him of a younger version of his kidself. No matter how badly their dads beat them or screamed, they followed commands.
Like good little soldiers.
But, he couldn't do anything. He wasn't responsible for her, therefor he had no input.
Well.. until after the hunt.
Turned out the demon had possessed archer's father, leaving the young hunter terrified and shaken up.
It had taken hours of taunting before the demon had been shot and killed, unable to exorcise it.
And who was the one to blow that man's brains out?
archer.
After that, Dean had taken her into his care. Of course, he had thought about dropping her to authorities, but what would he say?
Oh yeah, the young 16 year old girl shot her pop in cold blood to rid of a demon? Save this little town?
What a joke..
So, that's how they ended uo here in the Impala, with Dean driving them both out on a quiet road with old school rock playing through his cassette tapes.
The whole ride, Dean had noticed how quiet she was. Obviously he couldn't blame her after shooting a demon who had her dad's fuckin' face..
But he didn't know how to help.
"You want to pick the music?" He decided, hoping to help ease him a little.
