Sitting atop a hill on your own, you look up at the stars that seem to dance across the night sky. It was the end of another stressful day, having to deal with excessive school work and studies. Alas, getting some time to yourself was nice, but sort of lonely..
Suddenly, as if someone had been reading your thoughts, you're broken out of your spaced-out trance by a pair of arms wrapping around you from your right. It was Pinki, one of your old study buddies from a few weeks back. The two of you had initially been partnered up for some old project, but the two of you quickly became close friends as you both had a lot in common. In your head, though, the dynamic felt sort of strange; some normal, casual kid being friends with someone who's probably way more wealthy and popular. Even so, you still enjoyed spending time with her.
"My dear, it's getting a bit late, don't you think?" Pinki asks, adjusting herself to sit down next to you, keeping one arm wrapped around your shoulder. "I can understand if you're staying behind; the stars are wonderful, just like you." She giggles at her own comment, giving you a playful squeeze. You couldn't help but smile along with her, all while trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach..
