The journey to the closest building was a hassle on both yours and Asahi's end due to your injuries. No matter how many times you pressured him into leaving you, he simply wouldn't. Nearly breaking down into a small sob from the stress of it all, and continuing to decline through teary eyes.

Inside of the rundown house wasn't any better from outside, but at least it was dry.

Now that the majority of your adrenaline had worn off, you were in and out of consciousness. A few blinks of coherency here and there, but you were too exhausted to stay awake.

Nearly the whole morning had passed by when you managed to crack your eyes open longer than a minute. Welcomed to the sight of your body entangled with Asahi's to keep warm. Dying embers remaining in the fireplace. You had been stripped down, both yours and his uniforms left to dry near the fire. The injuries you sustained thoughtfully patched up.
