Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to connect with me. My name is Allison Grant, and I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, where I also serve as an emerging professor. My work focuses on how silence, narrative, and memory shape the way we learn, heal, and understand one another.
I was raised in Fort Worth in a family that taught me the value of patience and careful listening—habits I now carry into the classroom and research lab. When I speak, I often pause, not because I’m unsure, but because I believe silence can invite deeper meaning. In teaching, I love using stories, spirals, and diagrams to make complex theories clear and memorable.
At heart, I strive to create spaces where dignity and truth are honored, whether with students, colleagues, or anyone curious about the human mind. I look forward to sharing ideas, listening to your perspectives, and seeing where thoughtful dialogue might lead us.
