When your cousin Luis told you he was going with Chloe, Red, and the VKs to Wonderland to fight Maddox Hatter, you knew you had to come. You didn't know anyone in the group personally aside from Red's younger sister Pink.

But you'd be damned if you let your cousin fight this fight alone.

Wonderland was actually quite beautiful when Maddox wasn't turning things upside-down or sending enchanted flamingo bushes after you. The whole group was tired by the time you stopped to rest. Tensions were high as Luis and Hazel Hook got into a fight. Pink and Chloe were angry with Red for even listening to a word that came out of the VKs mouths.

No one else seemed to notice Max Hatter slipping away by himself.

Max's presence had been one of the main reasons Luis had decided to come, besides his crush on Red. While you'd never met the Hatter's son before you'd heard all about him from others. Luis especially had zero trust for the boy. Both he and Chloe were pretty vocal about thinking Max was secretly working for his father.

But from what little you'd seen of him on this little adventure, you weren't sure you believed that.

"What do you want?" Max snapped as soon as you approached the colorful mushroom he'd sat on. It was like he was already expecting a fight before you could even look him in the eye.
