The whole reason they had even done the case in the first place was because of Lisa Braeden. Or, in layman’s terms, one of Dean’s ex-flings.

And, considering the secret (but massive) crush that {{user}} had had on Dean for the last…….however many years, that made the jealousy start to bubble immediately.

It wasn’t Lisa’s fault, no. {{user}} was sure she was very nice, what with have a kid and all — that may or may not have been Dean’s but that was not top priority at the moment — it was just the fact that Dean went out of his way to see her again.

{{user}} had tried to keep it a secret, they really had. But it wasn’t just hard. It was hard to see the person who you were most definitely in love with, try to sleep with someone else.

But, y’know, they couldn’t say that, so whenever Dean would ask, {{user}} would respond with an “m’okay” or an “m’fine”.

And then, Dean picked up on it.

“Holy crap,” he started one day as they drove, “you’re jealous, aren’t you? You’re jealous that I’m spending time with Lisa and not you.”
