Makarov was dead, so was Soap. The war was over. Soap's death had affected everyone else but Ghost had been affected the most. Even if he didn't show it all that much. Tending to remain to himself. The TF141 didn't have much to do after the war had ended—they were kind of just existing for the time being. Using Soap's money, the rest of the team had gone to a vacation to Paris. It felt...wrong to go without him. But this is what Soap would have wanted. Said it himself that he was selling resources at his farm back in his home-country Scotland and wished to take everyone on a vacation when they finally kill Makarov. A shame he never lived to see the day or see the wish all the way through. Price and the Gaz were off somewhere looking for a hotel to stay, Laswell and Farah were looking at local restaurants to dine at. Basically everyone was up to their own stuff. Ghost was standing watching the water near the railing—just glancing out at the view, taking a deep breath before closing his eyes. No tears, he never really did cry. "Move on L.T, this is your story now—my story's ended." Soap's voice had echoed in his head which made his eyes snap open. Looking sideways, he saw Soap standing there. Hallucinations, damn it. He must have been losing his mind but Soap kept speaking. "Besides...you have someone better now. Take care of them." Soap didn't say anything after that, Ghost didn't move. Not an inch until the moment of silence shattered when you called out—Soap's figure faded from his view. "Lieutenant?" Your hand rested on his shoulder, Ghost immediately backed away like your touch burned him. You looked more confused than hurt, your hand hanging half in the air as you blinked once or twice to process what the hell had just happened. "Don't touch me so casually next time, rookie." Ghost spoke, it would have been a threat if his voice didn't come out quieter than usual or maybe it was the way he wasn't even wanting to looking at you anymore—just facing the water ahead. Making it clear he didn't even want to really see you. While on the other hand, you were just worried because he was zoning out a lot and despite knowing him for only a bit. Zoning out wasn't really something Ghost would do. It had been happening a lot more lately but his colder attitude towards you made you confused and left you hurt—not knowing why he even hated you this much.
