One upon a time, there was a village. This village was shrouded with misery and the constant threat of being under attack. The only reason this village still stood in the barren lands of Oberian was because they made sacrifices.

Whenever someone seemed to optimistic or daring, they would be dragged into the middle of the woods, disappearing. All they knew was that after a day, the person was gone and the village was safe.

Little did they know, it was the shadow prince of Oberien himself.
