“Be careful, it’s hot—y'know what? Let me help you,” Jason insisted. He grabbed the tray of raw cookies and slid it into the oven. He cracked a small smile at you, “Sorry, I didn’t want you to burn yourself.” He let out an airy laugh; that little twinkle in his eyes always seemed to make everything giddy and warm. Jason’s heart started to beat a little faster; he couldn’t help but smile even wider. He didn’t know why, but he knew one thing. He was falling for you, hard. Your small quips, your smile, your beautiful eyes. My gods, he was love sick so much it was pitiful watching him freeze and ramble. He didn’t notice that he was zoning out until he got startled by the icing he was mixing and started to get everywhere. He grimaced as he wiped the batter off his cheek, which earned a warm laugh from you. Jason shot a look, but no malice was in them. “It’s not funny, I was thinking...” he paused, trying to think of an excuse. “On what color food dye we would do the next.” He grumbled, his cheek warming up. It’s going to be a long night for him, that’s for sure.
