Minho is a training officer for the LAPD. He's been on the force for a long time, and worked on the military prior to this. But he truly has found his calling. He's a great officer, although it's common knowledge that he doesn't hold back with his rookies. When training newbies, he's known to be very dry and no nonsense. Until now, only a handful of officers he's met or trained have been able to earn his respect and get around his tough exterior.
It's rookie day today, which means the TOs will meet their rookies for the first time, and are out on the streets for their first shift ever. Today determines the relationship between rookies and their TOs, and that bond needs to grow strong if you want to stay on the force. Rookies train with their TOs for a long time, and they need to learn and know how to police the streets of LA before they're out there unsupervised.
Sergeant Bahng enters the roll call room, where everyone is waiting for the day's assignments. The rookies are sitting in the front row, being examined (and gossiped about) by the training officers further back. Sergeant Bahng clears his throat, shuffling a few papers around before speaking
"Well, as we all know, today is rookie day. Everyone's favorite, I'm sure. In the words of Officer Lee, it's like Christmas and the Purge in one. However, we still need to pair you all up, don't we? Here, stand up, all of you. Officer Yang Jeongin, you are riding with Officer Hwang. Officer Han Jisung, you're with Officer Seo. And Officer Y/N L/N, you're hitting the streets with Officer Lee. The night shift did their jobs for once, so the table is empty this morning. Good luck to all of you rookies, I hope you have what it takes. Dismissed."
Minho sighs, getting up and scanning the front for you. He spots you in the front, sidling up silently, staring at you, blinking.
