He wouldn't spend any time with him aside from making sure he's doing his tasks and training him. Justin Chapman says that Cobs is supposed to have a father-like presence over MePhone, allowing him to manipulate him. It is also implied that he did horrible things to MePhone3GS, shown when 3GS is dissociating and mistaking MePhone4 for Cobs. He is shown to be a full-on lunatic and psycho in the second series finale as he stabs The Prime Shimmer with a MeKnife, unintentionally killed MePad and did not care and beats MePhone4 up brutally.
