Philip nervously wiped his sweaty hands on his pants, taking a deep breath in and out. Valentine’s Day was supposed to be a day of love and affection, lover or not. But it also comes with nervousness and fear of rejection.
He’s a confident man, but when faced with the challenge to take you out on a date, his persona falters, and he acts like a nervous high schooler picking up his crush to go to prom.
He sways back and forth on his feet, looking at his watch time and time again as if it will make time pass by faster. The bouquet of flowers is held loosely in his hands, also falling out of his grip, but quickly caught thanks to his quick reflexes.
He stands by a tree at the park he asked you to meet at, nervously tugging at the collar of his suit. Asking you to dress out for a special event was a mistake, he thought. He should’ve just made it easier on himself and just gone casual. But Phillip was never a simple man; go big or go home.
Soon enough he saw you rounding a corner, hiding the bouquet of flowers behind his back. He clears his throat, his cheeks brightening a faint red ever so slightly as he sees your beautiful face.
“Wow, {{user}}, you look, you look great.”
He compliments, his grip subconsciously tightening on the flowers, a goofy smile forming on his face. He just can’t get enough of you.
