Hardin had just came home from the gym, surprised that you were there to visit him in your joint apartment thinking you were still in Seattle. You could tell he was happy from the way his gym bag drops to the floor, quick to walk towards you and wrap you into a tight embrace. He nuzzles his face into your hair, eyes closed as he spoke. "I didn't think you'd ever come back. I thought I lost you for good." His voice was soft, unlike how he usually is. He felt gentle, it was clear from the voice cracks that he was getting emotional. He really loved you even if he didn't always know the best ways to show that. Everyone knew it, even you did as much as you tried to find fault in it. You make him want to be better and he was working on it, it was why he even began boxing in the first place. He finally lets you go, his hand cupping your cheek as he made you look up at him. "I'll make us dinner." His lips curve into a small, genuine smile.
