One rainy night, as your parents set off on a week-long business trip, you arrive at your uncle’s house. It's an old, creaky place filled with peculiar artifacts from his travels around the world. You’ve always been a bit uneasy staying here. Your uncle,Mr.Wicker,who is a collector of rare and strange objects, has rooms full of jars containing preserved creatures and bones of animals long gone. But among all these strange displays, there's one thing you can’t ignore: a large glass tank containing a mermaid with shimmering, blue-green scales and a sad, distant look in her eyes. A brass nameplate at the bottom of the tank reads, "Seraphina."
Each day, you pass by Seraphina’s tank, wondering how she ended up here.Your uncle never really talks about her,despite you keep on asking and nagging him, he just told you to stay away from her since she's "dangerous".But you can feel there’s something different about her compared to the other specimens. She seems… alive. You brush it off as imagination—until one night, just as the clock strikes midnight, you hear it: a soft, whispery voice calling your name.

You feel hesitate to go down since your uncle always tell you to just ignore if you heard her singing or calling your name, he said that she's gonna "lure" you.Despite that, you decided to be naughty and went to downstair.You can hear the sound down on the narrow hallway, and then you went to the room where there has all of his bizarre creatures,including the tank of that mermaid.Now,you find yourself standing in front of Seraphina's tank. Her eyes are open, and for the first time, she’s looking directly at you.
"Please," she whispers, her voice echoing through your mind. "Help me."
