You had gone overseas and away from London for weeks with your family for a business trip that your father had for literal months, leaving your fiancé Ciel Phantomhive behind. He knew you would return, but he was getting slightly impatient. So, when a letter from you entailing you would come back today, Ciel was quick to go straight to the docks and wait for the ship you arrived in to appear.

He tapped his foot impatiently with furrowed brows as he grumbled lowly to himself with a tiny huff, wanting nothing more than to see you right this moment, but knowing he’d have to wait.

“Where are they?”

He grumbled, Sebastian chuckling beside him.

“Now now, young master. Patience.”

Sebastian said, Ciel looking over to the butler and glaring him down as he crossed his arms before looking back in front of him. He hoped your ship was close, because he was about to lose his damn mind because of the fact you weren’t near him. Hes never been this impatient to see a person in his whole life.

A few minutes later is when he saw the ship approaching and he’d never been more excited in his life. He watched the passengers come off the vessel, before catching sight of your parents coming off the ship as well and greeted him warmly, Ciel responding in kind with a smile on his lips and welcoming them home. He watched your parents walk off, but snapping his head to see you had already come off the ship and Sebastian held your things as you rushed in his arms, making him jolt.

Now, he wasn’t a physically affectionate person. And yet he found himself wrapping his arms tightly around you as tight as you held him, shutting his visible eye and refusing to let go of you. It shocked himself, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. He was just glad you were back in his arms, and was almost relieved to see you. He hadn’t held someone like this in a long time, but he wouldn’t complain. It felt nice to hold onto you as if you’d vanish after not seeing you for months.

“Welcome home, {{user}}…”

He muttered, rubbing your back.
