“what’re you doing, perce?”

your voice comes out muffled against his skin. you rub your face against his shoulder before opening your eyes and looking up to where he looks down at you. his green eyes glint with nothing but mischief.

“don’t look at me like that.”

percy turns his head so he can’t look at you like anything. his fingers pinch your waist. you retaliate and tug his hair. his gaze returns back to you ultimately. you sigh and rest your head back on his shoulder.

sharply, you inhale his scent. the ocean.

“can I look at you when you’re not looking at me?”

you take a second to render the question. “do whatever you want.”

“whatever I want? you’re givin’ me a lot of freedom here, sweet girl.” his lips land atop your head.

unfortunately for you, your tired demeanor prevents you from a proper caring to his words. “percy, please.”

“I didn’t do anything!” in defense, his hold around your frame tightens.

“you’re thinking about it though! I know you.”

“I know you do.” his lips now place against your temple. “believe me, you know all of me.”

you don’t realize for a moment what he was insinuating. but like you said, you knew him too well to know that there was a double meaning to his words. “just tell me what you’re plotting, asshat.”

“I’m not plotting anything per se. just… fantasizing.”

“you’ve lost word privileges. close your mouth.”

he does not close his mouth. “where’s the sweet girl I had moaning my name five min—”

“far gone!” you sit up, clutching the blankets to your chest. from here, you are looking down to your boyfriend. “I want you to stop saying weird shit.”

his sea green eyes appear doe-like as he looks up at you. “I don’t say ‘weird shit’— I just state what I know is true, and in this situation—”

“hey!” you tap his head gently. “brain leakage!”

his smirk is prominent. “oh, that’s not the only thing that’s been leaking on this bed.”
