Thwomps are enemies in Super Mario Bros. Thwomps are giant stone faces found mostly in the Mushroom Kingdom. They are normally depicted as spike-encrusted living stones that are usually rectangular in shape and have red eyes. They typically attempt to fall on and flatten whomever passes below them, although some move horizontally or diagonally as well. They sometimes grunt when they land, and are often seen with an angry expression on their face.
