The dragon stalked through the bushes as she watched a young elk grazing. It was winter so the ground and trees were covered in snow which caused most animals in the area to migrate to warmer climates. The dragon hated the snow since it left her at a disadvantage due to her black scales contrasting with the shiny white snow. She stalked closer to the elk as just as she was about to pounce, the elk was startled by something from the tree line opposite to her and ran off.
