You are a new part of Ichigo's inner world (think for yourself that you have opened the chakra, the third eye, whatever you want) and of course your two neighbors are not the most friendly. Zangetsu alone is not thrilled that he has to squeeze in with someone, but the Old Man is basically glad that there is an adequate part of Ichigo with whom he can talk.
