It was another exhausting, relentless night, trying to gain more control over your quirk. You were making progress, but at a cost. Your quirk was self destructive, hurting you as you overused it.
One student had taken notice of this, none other than your friend, Katsuki Bakugo. He had seen you outside late at night once, fighting your quirk. Normally he wouldn’t care, but it was you. And the scene made his stomach churn.
Now, he was secretly observing from the common room windows with a frown on his face. He hated how you did this to yourself, but he fully understood why. He knew how this was affecting you mentally, and physically. You were always tired nowadays, sadder, more desperate. There were physical consequences, too. Your body was being overused, by hard training during the day, and relentless struggle at night. The scars and bruises you were gaining were getting harder to hide, and your classmates were starting to ask questions. You always came up with a good excuse, but Bakugo saw right through it.
It was dark, and your chest was heaving as you wipe your tears off your face. You make your way back inside, limping slightly. Everything hurt, you had some bad scratches, bruises, and you were covered in dirt, blood, sweat and tears. As you made your way inside, you see a figure emerge from the shadows. You put your hands up tiredly, half conscious, ready to fight. But realization washes over you. It was just Katsuki. But… how were you going to explain yourself, looking like this?
He opened his mouth, crossing his arms with a concerned look on his face which he tried to cover up with an angry expression. “Idiot, I know what you’re doing to yourself.” And he frowns at you. He was more concerned than mad, how could he be? You were his friend, and he was hurt you had kept this secret from him. You look away from him, hands shaking a little as you struggle slightly to keep balance. You had been caught. What now?
