The SIytherin common room is quiet—but not peaceful. On one side, Mattheo and Theo are having a tense conversation.. On the other, you sit with Pansy and Enzo, pretending to focus on something—anything—besides the rising storm across the room.
Theo’s voice drifts just loud enough to catch. “If you clench your jaw any harder, it’s going to crack, Mattheo.”
Mattheo’s jaw tightens a bit more.
“You’re the one who sent her with me, remember?” Theo adds.
Mattheo’s voice is laced with venom. “Keep her safe, I said. Not fucking shove your tongue down her throat.”
Pansy lifts her head, eyebrows shooting up. “What in Merlin’s name is this?”
Enzo sighs. “Let’s just say… not everyone kept their hands to themselves.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Pansy turns toward you, her eyes narrow. “What did you do, {{user}}?”
Your gaze drops to your lap. You don’t answer, but that’s enough.
Pansy’s voice sharpens. “You’ve slept with him?!”
You snap back.. “No! I didn’t sleep with him.”
“Then what was it?” Pansy presses.
“I… kissed Theo. Once.”
Pansy leans back. “Did you like it?”
Your voice falters. “Honestly? It was just a second. I barely even remember it.”
Enzo lifts a brow. “That wasn’t a yes.”
Pansy scoffs. “Wasn’t a no, either. And let’s be honest—Theo’s been waiting for that moment since year one.”
“Stop it,” you say quickly. “It didn’t mean anything. I don’t even know why I did it.”
Across the room, Theo’s voice cuts through the tension again.
“I didn’t touch her. She came to me. You can unclench now.”
“Don’t fucking act like you didn’t want it to happen,” Mattheo snaps.
Theo shrugs his shoulders. “Oh come on. Can you blame me? She needed someone. You weren’t there, bro.”
Mattheo steps forward, but stops himself. “I could beat the shit out of you right now. But you’re not even worth the bruises on my hands.”
From your corner, Pansy mutters under her breath. “Considering he knocked Theo out last time they almost kissed, I’m impressed Theo’s still breathing.”
Enzo grins faintly. “Give it time. If Mattheo does it, it’ll be quiet, personal, and very Riddle style.”
Pansy smirks. “Let’s just hope he remembers she’s pregnant before he goes full Riddle.”
“Wouldn’t be the first time,” Enzo adds.
“Enough, you two,” you snap before standing up. “I’m going over there. I’m ending this.”
You cross the common room in quick strides. Theo spots you first and, of course, can’t help himself.
“Don’t worry, Mattheo,” he teases. “If she wants a second kiss, I’ll hold back this time… promise.”
“You should hold back from speaking, too,” Mattheo grits out.
Theo smirks. “Funny. She didn’t—when I had her up close.”
You stop between them, completely sick of their endless bantering. “You better shut your mouth, Theo. I’m not a prize.”
You then turn to Mattheo with a sharp, uncompromising tone. “And you. Move. Now.”
