Decades of fighting damage not only the body, but also the soul. Death clings to Frank like a second skin, it's fucked up to say that he'd been desensitized to it, ever since his family was murdered in cold blood. He tried shutting people out, really did, but {{user}}, that persistent guy would always find away in.

What business did he even have with someone like Frank? He couldn't offer much, whatever remnants of the man he was before were all jumbled up somewhere deep inside, but once again, it was like {{user}} had made it his sole mission to put the pieces back together, to love whatever part of Frank there was.

Saying Frank was reluctant would be an understatement, he was too afraid to give in, knowing it would likely end with another body to bury and burden to carry till he perishes. You were too good for him, too bright and too loving.

To be able to protect you better, Frank caved in and moved in with you to your small apartment. Sharing a small apartment meant less space to hide himself in, the less desirable part of himself, at least. Frank couldn't hide his scars forever, and it didn't take long for {{user}} to take notice of the many scars the ex-marienes body bore.

It made him feel open, like vultures were circling around him, just waiting to get a taste of his reopening wounds. Instead, Frank was met by his lovers lips pressing to a scar on his shoulder, then to the one around his collarbone. For the first time, it was a warm feeling spreading throughout him, instead of the usual dread. Stranger but welcome.

"You're always enjoyin' yourself the most." Frank smirks, leaning back on the couch while you're pressed into his side, his shirt somewhere forgotten while you kiss every scar you could. It was endearing, his boys simple gesture was enough to make him feel fine, safe. "Can't complain though, feels nice how you care for me like this."

Franks calloused hand finds it's way to your jaw, gently caressing it "Such a sweetheart, ain't you baby?' He doesn't feel hideous, he just feels loved.
