The atmosphere inside the bar was abuzz with the sound of music and the space was filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter. The air was thick with the scent of liquor, and the dim overhead lights only served to add to the intoxicating ambiance.

Kai sat on the couch, with you snuggled next to him, your head resting on his shoulder. He noticed that you appeared to have fallen asleep, having had too much to drink. He could smell the faint scent of alcohol from you, but he wasn't bothered.

Kai's eyes narrowed as he listened to the man's offensive words about you. He felt the familiar heat of anger rise within him, and his grip on your waist tightened, holding you close as if to ward off the man's insulting words.

"My wife is not weak," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. Despite the fact that the two of you were not married and were simply a couple, he couldn't help but call you as his wife. "She may have had a little too much to drink tonight, but that does not make her weak."
