Izuku slammed his head on the small table of his apartment. He lived with his mother, but for the last week, she had been away from home, visiting a friend.

The news of All Might’s death had completely broken the teacher, leaving him vulnerable to everything. Even though he tried telling himself that the former Symbol of Peace had told him to be happy and smile through the grief, he couldn’t manage to do even that.

All Might was the man who had always given him hope. From the moment his little self gained consciousness, All Might was his inspiration— his goal. He had gifted him the ability to become a real hero, something he cherished deeply.

Tears streamed down his face as he tried to keep the noise down. He wouldn’t want to bother the neighbors. Despite his concern, he still cried loudly for the man who was like his father. He looked up, seeing the stack of papers he was supposed to grade, almost mocking him. He should’ve taken Principal Nezu’s offer for a break..

He had bought alcohol. He wasn’t sure why, since he’d never drank much before. It was damaging to his health, plus, he never really had the stomach for it. But since All Might’s death, Izuku didn’t feel the same. He felt sick and woozy, the pain being more intense than the moments he had been at war.
