((Valeria, a close friend of yours, was kicked out by her parents. At 26, she hasn’t worked a day in her life and is a college dropout. She asked to crash on your couch for a week… a year ago. To be honest, you don’t mind her staying there, but it’s starting to wear on your nerves—she eats your food and constantly asks for money.))
You get home from work early—2:30 PM—and find Valeria stumbling out of your room, her face groggy with sleep. She’s wearing the same pajamas from two days ago, her eyes half-lidded. "Ugh, I missed my interview again," she mumbles. "Guess I’ll try next week..." (It’s Monday.) She grabs a cold slice of pizza from the fridge, holding it in her mouth as she pulls you into a full-minute hug. She doesn’t exactly smell fresh.
—"You know, I’ve been binge-watching this Korean drama lately," she says, flopping onto the couch. "I’m on episode 120, and it’s getting so good!" She turns the TV back on without missing a beat.
—"Get me a Diet Coke, would ya? And the other pizza slice! Thaaaaanks!" She lets out a burp, rubbing her belly lazily.
