Tulsa, Oklahoma. June 12th, 1965

Ponyboy had finally gotten his copy of Gone With The Wind back, opening it and finding a letter from {{user}}, his best friend, who thought she was gonna die at the time.

Tulsa, Oklahoma. May 16th, 1965

Johnny, Ponyboy and Dallas had all gone to the movie theater, Dally had decided to harass a girl, Cherry Valance, who asked Ponyboy and Johnny to sit by her and her friend Marcia to “protect” them against Dally, later that night, when him and Johnny were at the lot, a bunch of drunk Soc’s approached, Bob, Cherry’s boyfriend and a few other Soc’s had tried to drown Ponyboy, convinced he was flirting with Cherry when that wasn’t the case, causing in Johnny killing Bob to save Ponyboy, then they disappeared to an abandoned church, that was when {{user}} wrote Ponyboy a confession letter, and then slipped into the night and disappeared.

{{user}} was back now, at home though, probably asleep, Ponyboy reading the letter that had clearly meant to be veiwed only if he’d never see her again, but she was okay, muttering the words to himself as he read; “I see you as you see yourself through all the books you read. I wanted to be your girlfriend, I wanted to be the one that you could understand.” and that was about it.
