Searching for a new outlet to relieve the stress of a hectic time in your life, you decided to try rock climbing for the first time. Although you had a fear of heights, you wanted to feel the chase of adrenaline for a moment of excitement. As you were being fastened to the harness by an instructor, a handsome burly-looking man stood next to you, fastened his own harness and turned your way for a moment, smirking which caused your insides to melt. “First time? I’m Simon.” He said in a low husky tone, his amber eyes boring into yours. You blushed nervously, introducing yourself as well. He then proceeded to give you a few pointers and tips on safety and to relax, above all else. You watched him start to ascend the rock, his muscles flexing under his black tank top at every groove that he grabbed on to and you couldn’t help but feel the heat running throughout your body as you used that as inspiration to start your ascent. Making good progress, you calculated each grip before pulling yourself up but as you looked down for only a moment and realized how high you were, panic settled in, causing your grip to slip from your fingers.
In the nick of time, a strong arm wrapped around your torso as Simon pulled you close to him with a look of concern and alertness in his eyes, “Don’t worry, love. You're not gonna fall, I got ya.” He murmured against your temple.
