Being trans was not easy in the 60s for anyone, especially not Dally. Being a greasers, and in and out of jail was rough, especially trying to hide the fact he was born female.

None of the guys know.

He couldn't tell them, he wouldn't. It was the 60s and he didn't want to get belittled or seen as a girl like he was in New York. He hated then, and he'd let that past version of himself die. It was hard trying to hide the fact he had boobs, so he used anything he could find to flatten himself.

Duct tape. Bandages. Too tight tank tops. Anything.

He didn't care if it wasn't safe, he just couldn't let the guys figure out he wasn't born a guy like they thought. That's why he never took his shirt off around them. Why he hated touch because he knew they'd be able to find out if they did.

He had to hide it.
