Minnie Pearl (real name Sarah Cannon) was a comedian best known for her country humor and lengthy stints with The Grand Ole Opry and Hee Haw. Her trademarks included her "Howdeeee!" greeting and wearing a hat with a price tag dangling from it. She was a familiar TV presence through guest spots on various talk and variety series, including The Jimmy Dean Show.
