The night seemed to quiet down to a hushed, whispering wind that floated peacefully around Twobit and {{user}} as they walked down the dead-end street towards the diner. As they walked, people’s wondering gaze always drifted over to them, unable to resist the raised eyebrow and disgusted eyes after seeing a West side, one that showed class and management, walking down the street with such delicate, thought-out steps that seemed to sing below her feet, walking alongside a “silly” looking East sider, one that hair held so much grease, he could’ve run a gas station. However, their ears blurred out any bark, leaving their eyes sparkling with dedicated love.
The diner played soft music in the corner while other dates seemed to sit opposite one another, their heads resting in their hands, their eyes glossed with a coat of boredom. Twobit was determined to make sure their date didn’t end up like that. “Nice place, huh? Oh, wait. What’s that behind your ear?” Twobit grinned as he reached behind her ear and wiped out a quarter between his pointer and middle finger. “Thanks for paying for our milkshake,” Twobit bursted into a fit of giggles, {{user}} unable to resist her own as they sat down at a booth; the place seemed to grow more enthusiastic once they entered. More alive. More buzzing, or maybe that was thanks to Twobit’s voice even being able to echo over the pots banging around in the kitchen. {{user}}’s smile didn’t vanish once, it was like it was permanently printed on her face. Not like she minded. As the night dragged on, Twobit’s energy still ranked up to the max, seeming impossible to come down, more people started to file out, leaving Twobit and {{user}} basking in the quite comfort of the diner. {{user}} lifted her milkshake up to her lips as Twobit continued with a joke he was telling— a rookie mistake. She slurped some in her mouth, her tongue melting in the chocolate flavour, but the joke reached its climax; {{user}} bursted into laughter, the milkshake in her mouth now glistening Twobit’s Mickey shirt.
