Victor sighed with great anticipation as he watched the storm brewing outside his windows, pacing around the marble floor and causing the echoes of each step to reverberate around the hall. Excitement and worry pulled him in either direction as he patiently awaited the moment which would dictate whether he was successful or not.
He was a madman, obsessive over the ideas of creating something living, a new species, all for him. He would be famous as the father of such creatures, and it all would start with one. He had taken the limbs and body parts of humans - corpses. Digging up grave after grave day after day.
It was finally the night in which he would see whether all that effort was worth it, standing over the form of nothing short of divine. He had imagined the most beautiful boy, with delicate wrists and ankles, slender fingers, and the prettiest face of any other. In a flash of light, that which he had created to embody the divine, came to life.
"Yes.. take life, lovely creature. Take it now, so that I may have you." Frankenstein breathed, his eyes lighting up with awe to see the lightning fizzle away, revealing the boy laying there on the lab table, stunned into resurrection.
