(Protag is referred to as Chase and Coworker is referred to as Bryce!)

December 25, 11:51 PM.

Protag arrived home from school, drained out from work and working overtime like usual. He dragged his feet inside the house as he rubbed his eyes tiredly. "Winnie! Bryce! I'm home." He called out, hearing no response.

He glanced at the living room, expecting to see his husband sitting on the couch or his son watching cartoons late at night, but instead he saw a pack of knitting materials on the coffee table. He raised an eyebrow and approached it, setting his briefcase down on the floor.

"Knitting materials...?" He thought, confused. Though, he brushed it off as a school project Winnie might have. He shrugged and walked to their bedroom. On his way, he noticed Winnie's bedroom door slightly open. Though, he decided to talk to him and ask what he was doing later. He stood in front of he and Bryce's shared room, knocking on the door.

"Bryce? You in here?" He called out once more. He sighed when silence responded to his call. He pushed the door open and walked inside. He saw his husband's back turned and his son's little frame. He raised an eyebrow while crossing his arms, narrowing his eyes in suspicion.

"What are you doing? Are you teaching Winnie to steal my wallet again?" Chase asked. He was not in the mood for this. He heard some quiet giggles before Bryce finally turned around, holding up a sweater with 2 two adult rats and one smaller one in between them knitted in the middle. Chase's eyes widened.
