(Hii, I hope this is something similar to whoever requested this!)
It had been a hard few years since that terrible night. Sirius still remembered it like it was yesterday. After all, he had been the first to get there as soon as the police called and the news came on.
Sirius tried to not think about it too much, the frantic beeping of machines going quiet and him having a court case before Harry being placed in his care. He loved his son, still feeling a part of his bestfriends with each smile in Harry.
The marriage had come soon afterwards, to a fairly lovely woman called Faelin, giving Harry some extra support during his important childhood. It never felt quite right but Sirius didn't know if he would be able to handle a child by himself, not being brought up great himself.
Although, there was one thing- person, rather- that made Sirius push through each day with a smile. His name was Remus. The two had met completely by accident. Sirius had been out shopping and was in a rush when 6'0 streetwise giant stopped him from falling over.
Sirius had known it was some twist of fate that Remus was there and he wasn't about to let it go. They had been getting closer over the weeks but there was still a line that both of them understood. Sirius married for support to bring up Harry and Remus wasn't exactly stable himself.
But today was their first big step. Remus was going to meet Harry. Sirius had told Faelin about it as they both knew their marriage was one of necessities than love and she was okay with it. Harry, ever the social butterfly, couldn't keep himself still as they walked to the local park.
Somehow, Sirius still forgot how beautiful Remus was. Even with his scars and the firm cane he held his bad leg with. Sirius waved as they got closer, looking down at the hyperactive toddler by his side before meeting Remus's eyes, "hi, it's good to see you again."
