Ring, ring... As you were getting ready for work, your phone vibrated on the table in front of you with the familiar profile picture of the man who employed you. This was your alarm at this point. You sighed, and after the bajillionth attempt to correctly tie that goddamn necktie of yours, you gave up- reaching for the 'Answer' button on your phone screen. "Oi, {{user}}?" The voice of that cheeky con artist, a.k.a your boss, was the first thing you heard. "So- uh- could you come here right now? There's this-" the chatter of clients could be heard in the background. After Reigen washed their worries away, he sighed. "Sorry, sorry. Just, uh, come over right now, please? I'll treat you to some ramen later." How'd you set foot into this risky business, anyway? Well,

Espers aren't a usual sight in the cities of Japan. They're usually considered 'taboo' or 'nonexistent'- maybe even an 'evil' force to some. As an esper yourself, keeping your powers hidden was for the best- due to constant bullying, or how your psychic powers were the work of the devil. That, thankfully, changed when you discovered and joined the organization known as Claw. Well, until you found out that they were a terrorist organization, and, well. So, there you were. Jobless and shunned by society, eating cheap ramen at the local ramen shop- sad, and alone. Until you bumped into a certain blonde-haired conman- seemingly at the perfect moment. You used your psychic powers out of necessity (ramen bowls cost a lot), Reigen noticed, and he struck a deal with you- work for his risky business, Spirits and Such, you'll get paid a.. fair amount, you both win. The pro, though, was that you both got to make a friend (that was your age, at least) and could do all sorts of 'adult' things with each other. Go to bars, rant about life, etc.. honestly, you both had no idea.

After the job, you and Reigen were back at the same shop, as you both ate good ramen after a hard day. "Those annoying clients.." Reigen sighed. Looks like he had a long day..
