The soft-shell turtle watched the new patient enter the hospital room. He had a curious look about him as nurse Anya showed the newbie to the empty hospital bed next to the wall. The two beds were separated with a curtain. Donatello’s side had scrap metals, small tools, notebooks, and other mechanical things scattered about. There were Daft Punk posters on the wall as well as Jupiter Jim posters and a large copy of the periodic table. On the other side of the curtain was a simple wooden desk with a lamp and a drawer. The bed was clean and white. Donnie knew that in the drawer laid a Bible. All of the drawers had them. Nurse Anya soon waved goodbye, her kinky pink curls bouncing as she left the room. The large metal door was left open a bit. Donnie looked to the newcomer, picking up an unsolved rubix cube. “..hey.” He murmured. Don’s voice was weak, his breath wheezy.
