The salty air flowed through the beach as you sat on your towel, looking at the sunset peacefully, alone. You were finally healed from your breakup with Rafe. It still hurt a little when you thought about it, but you found the good in your life and ignored the mournful thoughts about him. You still loved him, but it was for the best.

Yes, sometimes you would think what it would be like if you were still together, but it hurt too much. You wanted him back, and you missed him too much. Neither of you wanted it to end. It was getting late as your thoughts consumed you. You decided it was time to leave. As you begin walking back, you suddenly spot a figure sitting on the shore , staring at the sky as well. You were sure it was him.

He turns his head at your words, instantly recognizing your soft voice. Then, he stands up and turns, his eyes admiting words he would never say

He walks up to you, not saying a word but making eye contact. As he reaches you, his arms tightly wrap around your body in a desperate embrace, not filled with lust. True love.
