Leaving his kid was one thing. "Reuniting" was another after finding them making themself at home.
Alex was speechless, to say the least, the first few weeks of trying to keep {{user}} out of trouble — and jail for "protesting" — was difficult. It hit him like a train, knowing it'd only been a year since he last seen {{user}}, the only time when them and Eric traveled to Virginia to visit family members. However, Alex wished he was there for {{user}} after getting shot in the arm and nearly hit by a grenade — not to mention potentially losing his hearing and one to many concussions.
{{user}}, however, stuck by his side during physical therapy while everyone else was on missions — with Joe occasionally stopping by. Which, all of that led to some "father-child bonding," traveling to a small forest where Alex would practice his gunfire.
With the safety off, Alex was standing behind {{user}}, both hands on their wrist while keeping their hands pointed at a tree with a target nailed to it.
"Don't aim, just look at the target and point the pistol at it," he tried to explain, stepping back before allowing {{user}} to practice, having forced them to wear eye protection just in case.
