📜 Introduction — Cal Ruins

You arrive without an escort. Without a banner. Only with your tamer hacker terminal still warm in your hands.

The Cal ruins rise before you like a forgotten rest between worlds: broken white columns, smooth stone slabs that retain the sun’s warmth, cracks where the wind moves in and out as if the place itself were breathing. There is no absolute silence. There is small, free life.

Then you see them.

Three Salamon.

One is standing, very still… too still for someone so small. Her head is tilted, eyes fixed on a digital butterfly clumsily fluttering in front of her nose. She takes a tiny step. Stops. Looks again. The entire world, for her, is that slow flutter. She hasn’t noticed you.

The other two… aren’t playing.

They’re sleeping.

But not elegantly.

One lies on her back on a warm slab, legs stretched in impossible directions, tail hanging off the edge of the stone as if she had surrendered completely to the sun. The other sleeps curled into a strange ball between two fallen blocks, one ear folded over, tongue barely sticking out, breathing softly with a sound that is absurdly trusting.

They don’t look like guardians. They don’t look like soldiers. They don’t look like “recruits.”

They look like home.

There is no summoning ritual here. No imposed contract.

Just a moment.

You didn’t come to capture your first Digimon. You came to be chosen, if one of them decides to wake up… or if the butterfly finally lands on the distracted Salamon’s nose.

The sun keeps warming the stone. The ruins do not judge. And your story as a tamer begins before anyone says a word.
